Grant Bailey
Grant Bailey was born to an agricultural scientist and an art teacher. From an infancy split between the electron microscopy lab and the sculpture studio, Grant was destined for a career with both method and expression. At North Carolina State University he bounced between disciplines - architecture, illustration, jewelry and finally industrial design, where he earned his degree. Directly from college he went to work for ShopBot Tools, a CNC router manufacturer based in nearby Durham . There he did a 5 year stint in a variety of roles that included customer support, training and design.
Grant moved to Houston in 2006 with his wife, Jenna, to help her pursue her own design career in graphics and to put winter behind him forever. Shortly after moving to Texas , Grant began a sole proprietorship offering creative and technical services to clients in a range of CNC based manufacturing industries. As part of this endeavor, Grant is proud to offer his work at Vector Art 3D.

James Booth
After studying Industrial Design at University James spent 10 years working for Delcam, makers of the ArtCAM Pro software. In the business he had many roles but always enjoyed actually using the software to develop files. James decided to combine this enjoyment with the demand from customers for high quality, artistic 3D models specifically created for CNC production. So in 2004 he started a company; Carve 3D for creating custom designs as well as co-founding Vector Art 3D in 2005.
James has built hundreds of digital 3D projects in the last few years but believes it is still important to understand and study traditional carving, architecture and craftsmanship. James thinks artistic software and CNC machines are a natural progression to allow the the user to re-create traditionally styled carvings as well as make contemporary designs. He originates from the UK but now lives in Toronto, Canada with his wife and new baby.
